ISO 15189 accreditation helps Bomu Hospital improves testing results and internal efficiency

In the two years since Bomu Hospital Laboratory gained accredited, it has recorded notable improvements in their performance which Dr. Aabid A. Ahmed, the Bomu Laboratory Director, directly attribute to their ISO 15189 accreditation:

  • The Laboratory is now used as a benchmark for performance, by a number of laboratories in the Coast region who consult our services at the laboratory.

  • There is proper utilization of reagents and laboratory consumables hence a marked reduction in wastage by around 20%.
