Petrochemicals giant saves over $1m with ISO 50001
Nippon Shokubai Indonesia (NSI) is an acrylic acid and esters manufacturing company. It is based in an industrial area of Cilegon Banten, Indonesia, where the energy supply is limited. In addition, the cost of energy consumption for the production process is variable.
In order to achieve energy efficiency, the company gained accredited certification to ISO 50001. Following implementation, the company improved its energy efficiency by 4%, resulting in annual cost savings of Rp. 15,000,000,000 (equivalent to USD$ 1,125,761).
