Management Standards certification improve the sustainability performance of Chinese manufacturing firms

73 Chinese manufacturing firms were examined, by longitudinal data from 2009 to 2012, to investigate the effects of ISO 9001 certification in their sustainability goals (Wang, Lin, and Weber, 2016). It was found that ‘companies with certified management standards gain higher efficiency in pursuing their sustainability goals than those that are not certified. Moreover, firms with prior certification experience or having a longer certification history demonstrate higher efficiency gains in pursuing their sustainability goals.
