ISO 9000 improves quality and performance results of Australian companies

Overview

The relationships between management practice prescribed by ISO 9001 and both quality outputs and business performance, were tested with data gathering in 2007 from 418 Australian ISO 9001 registered manufacturing plants, using advanced statistical techniques (Singh, 2008). The results support the existence of positive relationships between the implementation of ISO 9001 management practices and most of the quality and performance measures results analysed.
