Food factory saves over $528,000 in energy costs with ISO 50001

As one of the top three producers of premium pineapples with the largest facility in the world, Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) in Indonesia implemented ISO 50001 to improve energy performance.

In the first two years of implementation, GGP made a total energy saving of 221,535.41 GJ, reduced CO2e emission by 18,908.87 Ton CO2e and made cost savings of $ 528,070.48. These significant savings meant that the total cost of implementation of ISO 50001 at GGP was fully paid back in less than six months.

Full details of the benefits of GGP’s ISO 50001 certification can be downloaded here.
