Accreditation enables TPK – ZAVOD d.d. to expand into Europe

TPK–ZAVOD, a Croatian mechanical engineering company employing 43 staff, is has invested significantly to improve its competence levels and quality performance. TPK has gained accreditation to the following accreditation standards: ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17024; as well as accredited certification to ISO 9001, 14001, 29001, and SCCP and OHSAS 18001 management systems.

TPK ZAVOD has used its accredited status to expand its business into the EU market. Along with the company’s brand, experience and knowledge, accreditation was a precondition to the company joining forces with the German engineering company SEH Engineering GmbH based in Hannover, Germany. TPK-ZAVOD has carried out Non-Destructive testing (NDT) on steel structures, components of bridges in the client workshop for the last 2 years, with PT/UT/MT/VT accredited testing methods for its German partner. The total turnover of this work alone  for SEH is approximately 200.000,00 EUR per year with 2-3 inspectors involved in this project on a permanent basis. The turnover of this successful business cooperation for which accreditation is required, far exceeds the investment in gaining accreditation.
